The Company 

SPORTS Resources, Inc. is a company that engages in the distribution of major sporting and fitness brands in the Philippines. It started as a trading division of Quorum International Inc., the holding company of Toby’s Sports, which is now the number 1 sports chain in the country.

The Beginnings

In 1985, headed by Mr. Rodolfo S. Claudio, the division initially engaged in the subcontract production and distribution of sports caps, tennis accessories, sports bags and dartboard under its in-house brand name CHAMPION.
 
                        Due to its aggressive trust, the division won the exclusive distribution right for PRINCE Tennis Racquets & Accessories from Prince Manufacturing Inc., of New Jersey, USA and was subsequently given the license to manufacture Prince Apparel and Sports bags.
 
In 1993, from a mere trading division, we evolved as a separate company under the corporate name of SPORTS Resources Inc. (SRI). From then on, SRI serves and distributes products not only for Toby’s Sports but also to all other major sporting goods stores nationwide.
 
The Products
  
SRI’s proficiency and reliability in distributing PRINCE Racquets and Accessories gained the confidence of more foreign brands such as the POLAR Heart Rate Monitor of Finland, MINNESOTA FATS Billiard (USA), FINIS (Worldwide Leader in Technical Swimming Development), WINMAU Darts (England), ROLLERDERBY Skates (USA), FOX 40 Whistles (Canada), VCAN Bike Helmets (USA), JK EXER Equipment (Taiwan), CHO-PAT Sports Medical Devices (USA), SPORTLINE Personal Fitness Monitors (USA), LIFETIME Basketball System (USA) and PACEMASTER Fitness Equipment (USA) to name a few,
 
 Sales Team and Distribution Network
 
Presently, SRI boasts a nationwide sales and distribution network covering the three major sales territories – Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, with over two hundred sales accounts. Aside from the eight (8) full-time Account Executives that service the key dealers, the company has also invested in providing 45 Sale & Marketing Specialist (SMS) that helps the dealers in selling SRI products in their stores.

Marketing and Product Management Team
 
The Marketing and Product Management team is divided into seven (7) different categories such as the Racquets & Sports Equipment, Health & Fitness, Outdoor Sports, Water Sports, Extreme & Technical Sports, License & Sports Gears and Recreational Sports. This team is responsible for product/brand sourcing, marketing, sales promotion, merchandising, brand market share & profitability. The department has also an in-house Marketing Support Group which is responsible for the local needs on graphical requirements of each brand including the sourcing & production of modules, signage and other marketing related materials.
 
Accounting and Finance
 
The Accounting group monitors hundreds of dealers and caters to their needs in terms of reports, billing and transaction history. Its continuous implementation of business application system helps achieve maximum companywide productivity and efficiency.
  
Warehouse and Distribution Department
 
 The company maintains substantial warehousing capability both in the main office and extended Yakal warehouse. The main warehouse covers about 325 sq.m. and the Yakal warehouse is 150 sq.m.
 
A fleet of delivery vans maintain continuous supply and distribution of goods to our various dealers
 
Administrative Department
 
This Department is divided into three sections, the ADMIN/HR Section, MIS Section and After Sales Service Section:
 
ADMIN/HR Section- oversees the general welfare of the employees and the company. Its major responsibilities are finding, hiring, training and motivating employees. They are also tasked to sustain the corporate value and ethical standard of the company. 
 
MIS Section- this section maintains the information system of the company. They continue to strive to innovate and update the company to the vast pace of the technology
 
AFTER-SALES Service Section - One of the advantages of SRI over its competitors is their “Excellent” After-Sales Service team. This group is responsible for servicing all SRI product’s after sales concerns including repair and technical support needed by the customers.
